Phil Kitze's new CD entitled "CAN'T BE WRONG"  is scheduled to be released in June of 2025.  This new Blues CD is a collection 13 all original songs. All of the songs were written by Phil Kitze. Many very special guests are on every song including Bruce McCabe on piano, Jeremy Johnson on guitar, Pat Hayes on harmonica, Virgil Nelson on Hammond Organ, Jim Greenwell on saxophone, and Erin McCawley doing harmony vocals. The PHIL KITZE BAND is based in the Twin Cities. Discover this talented band that has been together for over 20 years. They play a variety of Rockin’ Blues, Rockin’ Roll and Original music, but Chicago and Texas Blues are their mainstay. With a very upbeat style, people love to dance to their music. A great event band and a party band. They have a versatile repertoire doing 50% original Blues and rock and roll, and covers of Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Bobby Blue Bland, Chuck Berry, Freddie King, Albert Collins, and Elmore James to name a few. THE PHIL KITZE BAND PLAYS ROCKIN’ ROLL & ROCKIN’ BLUES!!!

The Phil Kitze Band is available as a 3 or 4 piece. Phil also performs a duo, or a solo act.

3 PIECE BAND The Phil Kitze Band's lineup: Bass, drums, guitars, and vocals. The drummer is Tom Donnohue, considered one of the very best in the area. Larry Beckmann plays bass, who has been with Phil for 15 years and has known and played with Phil for over 20 years. Phil plays guitar, slide guitar, and lead vocals to round out the lineup.

4 PIECE BAND Phil Kitze and the Band add a fourth instrument for some shows. Piano players’ Bruce McCabe, or Mick Zampogna, or Virgil Nelson have all played with the band numerous times.

DUO Phil Kitze does a 2 piece acoustic show. Phil uses different players such as Larry Hayes on acoustic guitar, and vocals, or Larry Beckmann on bass and vocals. See “ACOUSTIC SHOW”. Phil plays acoustic and resonator guitars, harmonica, and vocals.

SOLO Phil also does solo acoustic performances. He plays acoustic and resonator guitars, harmonica, and vocals. He has a very interesting acoustic show, doing blues, old country, folk, originals,  and a variety of other styles too. See “ACOUSTIC SHOW"

“Trouble Caught Me” an original song on Phil’s “The Sky is Clearing” CD was selected in 2019 to be in the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame!
